Who are we?

Hi.

Welcome to Teachers Who Design. This space was created by teachers for teachers. Not only that, it was created as a place where educators and creatives can share, engage, and find inspiration. We are no longer teaching in an authoritarian system. We are designers: creating, guiding, and providing experiences for our students and ourselves.
Teachers are designers. It's what we do. Our clients come in all shapes, sizes, and learning styles, and they're from all different backgrounds. It's our job to engage them and guide them through the process of learning. In the last few years, many universities, scholars, and authors have started to recognize this idea of teachers as designers. Maybe there wasn't always a term for it, but we've known it all along.   Teachers Who Design is a co-op and blog of educators far and wide who have multiple years of experience in the classroom. Whether we are designing curriculum, classroom decor, or activities, we are always designing. Our hope is that TWD will be a place where educators, designers, and creative thinkers can share, meet, and find inspiration to continue changing the world, one student at a time. We hope you find something you like. Welcome!
